
Deborah Kakaris
Chief Risk Officer & Chief Information OfficerDeborah Kakaris has over 37 years of experience in the financial services industry and is currently an Executive Vice President serving as the Chief Risk Officer & Chief Information Officer at CFG Bank. Kakaris joined CFG Bank in 2023.
Her experience ranges across banking and wealth disciplines and spans all facets of management including client service, operations, IT, Risk, project governance, strategic, budget and personnel management. Deborah has also been active in training, mentoring, and people and culture initiatives.
Prior to CFG Bank, Deborah spent ten years at Morgan Stanley as an Executive Director in Private Banking Operations, Operational Risk and Regulatory Control as well as Client Reference Data Services. She also worked for Mercantile Bankshares Corporation for 20 years and held various management positions including that of Chief Information Officer. A Maryland native, Deborah, received her Master of Business Administration from The Sellinger School of Business at Loyola University.
Deborah currently serves as a Board member and Audit Committee Chair for NCIA.
